Technical Assistant (m/w/d)

The Research Group of Organic and Physical Organic Chemistry of Prof. Golo Storch is now looking for a full-time person for technical assistance. Activities in the Chromatography apparatus of the working group (FC, HPLC, GC), partly with coupled mass spectrometry Working with scientific projects organic-chemical synthesis Development of Chromatography Process Instruction, introduction and consultation of employees of the working group to the equipment Installation, maintenance and optimization of plants Documentation of ongoing experiments and backup and archiving of measurement data Ensuring the operation of the equipment of the working circuit and instruction of the employees (for example spectrometers, glovebox, vacuum pumps, fine scales and rotary evaporators) procurement and inventory of technical equipment and chemicals Collection of offers, implementation of price comparisons and creation of procurement applications Tracking orders, handling of any complaints and inventory of new equipment Support for occupational safety and prevention issues

successfully completed training as a technical assistantin (preferably chemical-technical assistantin) or laboratory assistant with equivalent skills and experience very good knowledge of organic chemistry and synthesis knowledge of the relevant safety and accident prevention regulations for chemical laboratories and the handling of hazardous substances Experience in handling frozen and compressed gases, dewarm vessels and compressed gas cylinders very good knowledge of modern text processing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as chemical-relevant programs good knowledge in handling complex analytical devices and their maintenance good knowledge of how to handle and maintain and build databases Knowledge of waste management regulations and procurement directives very good German knowledge (min.
