System Engineer / IT-Consultant – IBM Storage Scale / GPFS (m/w/d)

To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for one of our locations across Germany System Engineer / IT Consultant – IBM Storage Scale / GPFS (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d).

They accompany IT projects from the presales phase to the implementation, including installation, configuration and maintenance of IBM Storage Scale / GPFS (General Parallel File System). They help our customers with challenges in the high-performance computing environment (HPC) as a technical contact person. They are responsible for ensuring data availability and security and assist in troubleshooting and performance optimization. Together with colleagues from the department, you develop and implement new concepts and project-specific solutions that meet the individual requirements of the customers. They work closely with our sales team and serve customers from different industries throughout Germany.

An IT-oriented training as a specialist informatics (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d) for system integration, a study of computer science, business informatics, media informatics or system engineering – a cross-entry is also possible with appropriate expertise. Practical experience with IBM Storage Scale or PFS Knowledge of high-performance networks e.g. Infinite tape desired Solid knowledge of storage, networks and Linux High level of organizational talent, autonomy, self-responsibility and creativity Embossed customer and service orientation as well as team skills Good communication skills with very good German (level C1 or higher) and English (level B2 or higher) as well as a project-dependent travel readiness.
