You are responsible for the design and development of various components of the truck frame You design and construct new truck frame front ends in modular design, including crossbeams and structural node components You develop casting components as well as pressed and bent sheet metal parts You define and dimension the connecting techniques such as welding, screws and rivets You work closely with interface departments such as adjacent construction departments, technical virtual simulations, prototype construction, production planning, procurement and suppliers You create the required documentation (CATIA 3D) for different project phases, such as prototype and series drawings You optimize the components in the different requirements as best possible You work closely with the other Traton Group brands within the development projects

You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field You have several years of experience in the development of metallic structural dynamic components for commercial vehicles You control the CATIA V5 construction tool You have knowledge of the PDM system Windchill You have profound knowledge of connecting techniques such as welding, screws and rivets You have experience in the creation of development and system specifications books and in the tender for development service providers and development suppliers You control the manufacturing processes for pressed and bent components as well as for casting and forging parts You work independently and are able to set priorities and make decisions under time pressure You show strong analytical skills and have a deep understanding of complex relationships You finally have good English skills in word and writing
