Number: MER0003Z0Q The final assembly of the three Mercedes sports cars AMG SL, AMG GT and Maybach SL takes place in Hall 3 at the Bremen site. The End-of-Line range offers a diverse range of tasks with test procedures and rework, which has been extended by new processes through new approaches. In order to further digitize and secure the quality, an AI-assisted camera project is currently being built up, in which errors are to be automatically detected visually, classified and subsequently evaluated. You can participate in the design of these processes directly on the product, support the development and introduction of the AI solution in the production environment and make an active contribution to data-based quality assurance as well as to the continuous improvement of our processes. We offer you a varied internship with exciting insights into complex sports car production, their rework and quality assurance – complemented by practical experience in the use of Computer Vision, Data Analysis and AI in a dedicated and highly motivated team. These challenges include: Participation in the introduction of an AI-assisted camera system for automated fault detection in the production/quality environment

Support in the collection, processing and evaluation of image and production data (including documentation and data tables)

Cooperation in testing and optimising fault detection (e.g. evaluation of detection rates, false alarms, trends and derivation of improvements)

Participation in the integration of AI results in test sequences and in the optimization of existing processes

Creation of training, decision-making and information documents and active cooperation in day-to-day business / for smaller projects

Activity can begin from April 2026

Course in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a comparable technical/natural science course

First knowledge or strong interest in one or more areas: Machine Learning / Deep Learning, Machine Vision, Data Analysis/Statistics

Ideally practical experiences with Python (e.g. NumPy, pandas) and possibly ML/CV frameworks (e.g. PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV) – no need, but advantageous

Secure handling of MS-Office; PowerPoint of advantage

German knowledge (at least B2 level) and if possible English knowledge

Commitment and team skills as well as a structured, independent working

Analytical way of thinking and strategic working, understanding processes in production/quality of advantage
