The Fraunhofer Research and Innovation Centre (FIZ) for Hybrid Artificial Intelligence is a dynamically growing location of the Fraunhofer Institute for Labour and Organisation IAO at the Heilbronn Education Campus. Here you work at the interface of science, business and technology development – with the aim of exploring and developing hybrid AI solutions that combine generative AI, agent-based systems and large language models (LLMs). The focus is on practical applications such as intelligent assistance systems, automation solutions and AI-based products that transform companies sustainably. We are looking for a dedicated personality with project management experience that works with entrepreneurial spirit, passion and creativity on pioneering AI topics and wants to actively shape the further development of our dynamic team.

Head of demanding research and industrial projects in the field of Artificial Intelligence Responsibility and leadership of interdisciplinary project teams Development of new research topics, project ideas and applications Networking and cooperation with partners, companies and institutions at the growing AI location Heilbronn Publication and presentation of research and project results at specialist conferences and in scientific media Transfer of scientific knowledge to the application – possibly also in the context of own founding or spin-off activities Perspective: Takeover of a team management function

Above-average academic studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering or a related subject, with doctorate Multiannual experience in the processing and management of research or development projects Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Language Models and Software Development Very good presentation and communication skills in German and English An entrepreneurial, creative and pragmatic personality that takes responsibility, thinks strategically and enjoys interdisciplinary cooperation
