Then you will find a key role in actively shaping the future of sustainable heating, climate and energy solutions and at the same time securing the innovative power of the Vaillant Group in the long term. You take responsibility for the entire patenting process from the first idea to the successful application and design of patents and designs and consistently align the portfolio with the corporate and development goals In your role as an Intellectual Property Lead Expert, you will continuously develop the group-wide strategy for dealing with intellectual property and develop processes as well as standards to ensure the long-term protection of our innovations Together with interdisciplinary teams from research, development, product management and other disciplines, identify and evaluate innovations with high protection potential and accompany their legal protection You monitor third-party rights, assess potential risks and initiate appropriate measures to ensure the freedom of action of the Vaillant Group Your tasks include the international control and coordination of patent activities and cooperation with external lawyers, patent attorneys and other service providers. As a recognised expert (m/w/d), internal stakeholders will advise you on all issues of industrial property protection and represent the Vaillant Group to offices and courts

Qualification: You have completed engineering studies as well as the German patent attorney examination and/or the European qualifying examination successfully completed Experience: You bring several years of professional experience in industrial property protection and comprehensive expertise in an international business environment and have already successfully managed to maintain complex patent and design portfolios Know-how and skills: Foundation knowledge in patent and design law, including neighbouring legal areas, as well as a deep technical understanding enable you to safely evaluate complex issues and develop convincing solutions Nice to have: Additional experiences in the enforcement of copyrights, license management or other foreign language skills complement your profile ideally Personality: You convince by strategic thinking, high self-responsibility, excellent communication skills and your ability to successfully combine different interests and drive change processes Language skills: You have knowledge of German and English in word and writing; further language skills are advantageous
