The overall responsibility for operation, maintenance and troubleshooting in the gas pipeline network is in your hands. Professionally and disciplinefully, you lead four executives and a total of around 75 employees and ensure a clear orientation of your area. You organize personnel deployment planning and work preparation in such a way that all resources are used economically and safely. You ensure that all activities in the pipe network – including domestic connections, repair measures and malfunctions – are carried out safely, professionally and in accordance with DVGW rules and internal standards. You continuously develop maintenance strategies, key figures and processes in the pipe network and participate in investment and out-of-operation strategies. You will gradually prepare your area for the operation of a new hydrogen network – from the qualification of employees through process adjustments to cooperation with H2 projects and network management. Perspectively, you carry out tasks at the interface to power grid operation, for example in common civil engineering and infrastructure projects, and promote a coordinated cross-species operation. Work, health and environmental protection as well as compliance with business obligations are your top priority; you will ensure appropriate equipment, instruction and clear guidelines. You actively support the technical training in the pipe network and support your team through regular feedback and employee discussions. Planning, control and compliance of the budgets are your responsibility and meet your decisions based on reliable analyses. You work in working groups and specialist committees and work closely with urban partners as well as specialist bodies (e.g. DVGW, TRGI, Fire Brigade, LKA).

You have a (special) university degree in a technical field, ideally with a focus on energy or supply technology, or are ready to acquire this timely. Multiannual relevant professional experience in the pipeline network, network operation, maintenance or fault environment, including leadership experience, will help you. Finded technical knowledge in the gas pipeline network will distinguish you; ideally, you will have expertise in DVGW G 462, G 463, G 466‐1, G 472 or you will be willing to have these qualifications – if necessary. up to the qualification of experts – to acquire timely. In the leadership of larger teams over several levels as well as in the management of cross-departmental projects, you are experienced, ideally also cross-species with the power grid operation. You think in end-to-end processes and work across hierarchy to develop consistent solutions for network operation together with other areas. Entrepreneurial thinking and acting, eager to decide, assertiveness, collaborative ability and negotiation skills shape your leadership style. Enthusiasm for technical innovations, the transformation of gas to hydrogen and cross-species cooperation as well as a modern, co-worker-oriented understanding of leadership. With MS Office you are sure to go; ideally you have experience with SAP, INFORM and Power BI and have a high digital affinity. You have a valid passenger car license.
