Mechanic in the day shift at the central heating plant (m/f/d)

Our district heating network is the largest Western Europe with a length of more than 2,000 kilometres. We supply about one third of the Berlin households with heat. With the know-how of our 2,300 employees, we cover the entire value chain of district heating – from production to grid operation and expansion to distribution. At high pressure, we work at the coal exit until 2030 and at climate-neutral production from 2045. In this way, we support the Land of Berlin significantly when reaching its climate targets. On the way to this we want to realize a higher proportion of renewable energies and waste heat. To do this, we need to redesign many of our sites and facilities. You carry out maintenance, repair and assembly work on your own in the area of mechanics and carefully document your results You supervise and monitor work by foreign companies and recognize quality shortcomings early on You identify potential sources of danger at work and promptly initiate appropriate measures You report quality deviations, implement necessary measures and carry out follow-up checks You support us as part of the standby service You occasionally serve industrial trucks, cranes and lifting platforms Work and health protection are important to you and are an integral part of your daily work
