The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Kaiserslautern is a combination of differentiated youth assistance offerings that span a stationary, outpatient and school-social-working spectrum. At over 18 locations in Kaiserslautern and with a team of more than 70 employees and 10 volunteers, we can be found in the entire city area of Kaiserslautern. For our SOS Children's Village Kaiserslautern, we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in parttime (30 hours/Where) As a social educator / educator in Kitasozialarbeit you will be part of a dedicated and supportive team with two colleagues. Together, you will accompany seven kitas in the social area of Grübentälchen in Kaiserslautern and support families as well as professionals as a reliable and value-assuring contact person. Your office in the Friedensstraße – together with the Parent-Kind-Treff – offers you the opportunity to work close to the living worlds of the families and to actively shape relationships. You are a contact person for parents and for the staff of Kitas. You strengthen parents in their educational competence and accompany them in everyday life. You promote family self-help skills by activating and using networks. You provide further support services if necessary. You help to overcome educational and development disadvantages. You plan and design holiday offers together with the team and carry them through. You take regular presence times in the kitas. You pay attention to the conscientious implementation of child and care protection.

You have completed training as a social pedagoguein or educatorin and ideally bring experience in the work of kita. You work independently, structured and have a well-organized way of working. You are characterized by empathy and intercultural sensitivity. You bring socio-spatial thinking and action. Your handling of proximity and distance to the representatives is professional. You have a class B licence.
