Senior Legal Counsel (m/w/d)

Your contribution: Provide expert legal support and advice to the company on various complex legal matters which have a major impact on one or more segments of the company's business.

Develop legal strategies and provide high level legal advice to senior management

Ensure the company's applicable with compliance laws and regulations.

Reports to the General Counsel EMEA with critical input from the Chief Legal Officer

This position is located in Hanover, Germany

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A Law degree (University / State examination or equivalent); admission to practice law in Germany

7 years of transactional experience, preferably in the automotive/manufacturing industry or in a reputable law firm or a corporate legal department of a multi-national corporation

In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations to the automotive industry

Expert contract drafting and negotiation skills

Team player with a proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to cooperate across departments

Ability to build positive relationships with management and other members of the legal team, with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes positively

Familiarity working within a matrix environment on behalf of multiple and diverse business functions and organizations

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail

Experience managing outside counsel

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English; additional languages are a plus

Ability to work independently, priority tasks effectively, meet tight deadlines and make solid judgment calls under pressure

Expertise in corporate law

Proficiency in datas and AI, with the ability to leverage these skills to enhance legal strategies and decision-making

Experience with AI tools and technologies relevant to the legal field
