About us Our Operational Excellence & Projects team leads a variety of challenging projects for the various global business units of SCHOTT, such as series highs, material flow management, optimizations in indirect areas. We are looking for a Manager Operational Excellence (m/w/d) at our headquarters in Mainz. The activity is remote in predominant proportions. Your duties They define, plan and implement projects along the entire value chain in the various business units of SCHOTT. They act as an in-house consultant, advise on content, strategically and methodically, and take responsibility for achieving the project goals and implementing the project results. They create transparency through end-2-end processes by analyzing multi-stage processes and representing effects of measures on process performance. They ensure the measurement of relevant project key figures. They work with project participants on the most diverse levels. They actively promote best practices, standardization and operational excellence through the entire company.

Your profile They have an engineering degree and have several years of professional experience in an international industrial group focusing on operational excellence or in a comparable position. They have proven project management experience in the production environment or in indirect areas of a manufacturing company. They have a well-founded knowledge of Lean Management, especially in the optimization, redesign or automation of processes. Application-related knowledge in Lean admin and methods such as value flow analysis or Swimlane are required. They are open to international project assignments, including associated missions. They have excellent presentation and moderation capability. A pronounced communication and team capability across all hierarchical levels, coupled with a high degree of self-employment, round off their profile.
