Head of Internal Controls - IT (m/f/d)

You ensure appropriate controls and you are responsible for the design, implementation, documentation, evaluation and monitoring of the IT-internal control system in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley regulations (SOX), including corporate policies and significant risks. You conduct and establish the process for IT-internal audits and develop guidelines and processes for improving compliance and efficiency. Start reporting on the IT-internal control system as well as control constraints and ensure adequate communication, documentation and escalation to business partners, executives and relevant bodies. You develop appropriate and timely action plans and monitor their progress to remedy and resolve control shortcomings. You work closely with the business internal control team and the process owners to implement and monitor actions and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions. You actively promote digitization, standardization and automation, apply best practices in the management of IT-internal controls, and use innovations to continuously improve the design and effectiveness of controls, as well as documentation, assessment and testing processes. You actively work with internal and external auditors to ensure that all relevant risks and audit results are taken into account and resolved. You develop and carry out regular training and develop relevant information materials on the objectives, approach and methodology of the IT internal controls for business partners to promote knowledge and understanding of risks and controls.

You have a Bachelor degree or a comparable qualification in Finance, Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field. You bring more than 7 years of professional experience in a comparable position in a multinational corporation or in a big 4 auditing company. You have extensive experience and a thorough understanding of internal control systems (e.g. US listed companies and relevant SOX experience); a relevant professional certification is advantageous. You have a good understanding of governance, IT risks, SOX controls etc. Very good SAP skills are a must. A CIA or CISA certification is advantageous. You have a strong experience and interest in how technology and systems can support the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls. You have strong analytical and communicative skills as well as the ability to identify, evaluate and address risks and to illustrate internal control and risk issues in a comprehensible way. You have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and are happy to work in an internationally distributed team. Experience and industry knowledge in consumer goods are of advantage. You are flexible in problem solving and dealing with changing priorities. You are ready to travel within the internal control processes.
