The CinemaxX Group currently operates 34 cinemas in Germany and Denmark and, with around 1300 employees in Germany, is one of the largest and most famous cinema operators in the market. CinemaxX itself belongs to the Vue Entertainment Group, a globally successful operator and developer of modern, innovative multiplex cinemas. From the headquarters in Hamburg, under the umbrella of CinemaxX Entertainment GmbH & Co. KG, all activities for the individual cinemas are controlled.

You want to reinvent cinema enjoyment – from popcorn and nachos to completely new food and merchandise concepts? As a retail growth manager, you design the entire food, beverage and nonfood range of our cinemas in Germany and Denmark with a large free space and direct impact on sales and earnings.

Retail Growth Manager (m/w/d)

Your role – versatile and independent You take commercial responsibility for our entire retail range and are the driving force behind profitable category growth, price strategy, product testing and new concepts. Your success is shown in revenue growth, margin improvement, higher conversion and successful scaling of new categories and concepts.

Your tasks at a glance: Responsibility for the entire range, the categories and articles as well as close cooperation with the Head of Retail in a consistent, profitable price structure Observing market trends, development and testing of new categories and products to maximise profit Conception and implementation of promotions (film-based and independent) as well as the establishment of a permanent merchandising and fan-Item concept Developing new categories such as hot and express food and building strong brand partnerships together with the Sales Department Designing and further developing ''VUE Your Way'' – our innovative marketplace concept with free product selection and self-checkout, including rollout and close coordination with the Group headquarters in UK Development of a multichannel sales concept for retail products (online & offline) Building meaningful reporting on assortment, category and article performance, as well as sales and profitability analyses

Your profile: At least 3 years of experience in category management, in an analytical or sales function in retail, hospitality, QSR or FMCG environment Detectional experience in controlling category and assortment performance in a multi-site business Experience in creating business plans to develop new sales potentials Embossed market and trend sense as well as the ability to translate trends into concrete business opportunities Very good Excel knowledge and high analytical competence to derive action recommendations from complex relationships Hands-on mentality, pronounced problem-solving competence and a good sense of balance between profitability and operational feasibility Very good English skills in word and writing Advantage: Experience with POS and commodity management systems as well as building new reporting structures Why this position? There is hardly a role to play in such a range of topics: from classic assortment control to merchandising and new food concepts to the co-design of a completely new retail format. You are a central interface between strategy and operational implementation at over 30 locations in two countries.
