The Brandenburg IT service provider (ZIT-BB) is the central IT service provider for the direct state administration of Brandenburg and stands for efficient and professional IT services from a single source. The extensive portfolio of tasks includes the planning, control and operation of the technical infrastructure, as well as the coordination and support of specific, but also cross-resort, common IT procedures. Furthermore, the state company is responsible for the security management for the IT infrastructure of the Landesverwaltung and the IT project management.

The responsibility for the operation of the regional management network and its continuous technological and performance-related development is a task of the decernate 4.3. In addition, network operation and operation of firewall systems in the data center (RZ), support of local networks (LAN) and provision of a highly available voice and video communication infrastructure are included.
