Chair of Sociology with a focus on social inequality

At the Koblenz site, the following professorship is to be set up in the Department of Social Sciences:

Professorship for sociology with a focus on social inequality (w/m/d) (Gr. W 2)

Parttime employment is possible.

Your tasks:

• Representation of teaching (in German and English) in the field of sociology in socio-economic work and the childhood sciences and all courses of study in the Department of Social Sciences
• Building a research profile and national and international research activities including Publications
• Networking with the regional cooperation partners (associations and other institutions etc.)
• Participation in academic self-government

Your profile:

• Special expertise in the Sociology teaching area with a focus on social inequality in theoretical and empirical terms
• Multiannual relevant professional experience, ideal leadership experience
• Enthusiasm for cooperation with a diverse student and its development
• Openness for the further development and implementation of innovative teaching concepts
• Openness for the acquisition of new teaching content as part of the long-term, strategic, possibly interdisciplinary further development of the study offer
• High social competence in dealing with students, colleagues and colleagues
• Good knowledge of German (min. C2 level) and good knowledge of English (min. C1 level)

The recruitment requirements for professorships are set out in § 49 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate (HochSchG).
