We are looking for a legal officer in the field of water and soil protection law (m/w/d) as soon as possible for the Department of Environmental Law and Industrial Supervision in the area of the Lower Water and Soil Protection Authority. Part-time, unlimited The amount of employment is 80% of a full-time job. A small increase in the scope of employment would be possible if necessary. Of the 25 employees of the Department of Environmental Law and Industrial Supervision, five employees carry out state tasks in the water and soil protection law. The aim is to protect humans and the environment from harmful changes and contamination of water and soil. Both legal areas ensure the natural basis of life by maintaining and recovering the functional and performance of water and soil as a habitat, drinking water resource and filter and storage system. Payment is made up to pay group 10 TVöD or to grade A11.

Your tasks: independent processing of water- and soil-protection processes (e.g. implementation of water-legal authorisation procedures with public participation, adoption of deficiencies dismantling arrangements, prevention of risks in soil erosions) Exercise of the supervisory function via a water and soil association as well as performing the tasks as a supervisory authority under the Water Protection Act Processing of complaints/environmental notifications and requests for access to environmental information, as well as legal remedies, forced funds, fines and criminal cases Consultation and information of citizens, businesses and other services on all issues of the area of responsibility

Your profile: completed studies as a Dipl.-administrator*in (FH) or Bachelor of Arts - Public Management or Similar Qualification sound knowledge of public law and secure application of legislation; Legal skills are advantageous good MS Office knowledge and the willingness to quickly develop in specialist applications (e.g. WIBAS) and active participation in the digitization of work processes Interest in technical matters and willingness to exercise external services independent, initiative and service-oriented mode of operation with the ability to process complex facts structured safe occurrence, fast understanding, connected thinking as well as team skills, decision-making and organisational skills
