In order to understand the impact of the energy transition on the dynamic behaviour of the electricity system, you conduct stability and system analyses together with your team colleagues and continuously develop the applied methods. With these analyses, you provide an important contribution to the development of the transmission network and the definition of requirements for network customers – so that even in a fully CO2-free and converter-dominated power system, a stable and safe system operation is continued in an efficient manner. Go to the tasks of the energy transition and become a specialist for the dynamic relationships in the transmission network. Their success depends essentially on your own initiative and motivation to penetrate into complex issues and to communicate them both internally and externally. This position gives you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the professional management of complex projects. Your tasks in detail: determining the future requirements for the transmission network in the sense of system stability and dimensioning of stabilising accompanying measures; representing 50Hertz in bodies and research projects, independent initiation, design and coordination of studies and special projects (e.g. focusing on voltage stability analyses, network connection rules), independent execution of stationary calculations and dynamic simulations (in particular in the RMS range), Further development and validation of the model and tool landscape (e.g. with PowerFactory in conjunction with Python) within the framework of internal, national and international processes (e.g. system stability report, demand analyses).

Successfully completed studies of electrical engineering or industrial engineering, Very good analytical skills and strong understanding of electrical energy systems, Extensive knowledge in the theory and dynamic simulation of electrical networks and power electronics (EMT and/or RMS analyses), knowledge of how to deal with MS Office and the ability to understand complex issues, programming knowledge (e.g. in Python), Very good language skills in German and English in word and writing (at least one of the languages at level C1).
