The Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratorium Medicine (IKL) has as its main task as an accredited institution to secure laboratory diagnostics as part of patient care as well as clinical studies for the University Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine and the cooperation partners at a high level. At the same time, the IKL sees itself as a cooperation partner in the design of a central information and communication platform for questions of laboratory diagnostics as part of the patient care of the Institutes of the Clinic and the Medical Faculty.

Needs all your skills - your challenge:

They will work in a multidisciplinary international environment of researchers, scientists and physicians to develop innovative, computer-assisted methods to investigate molecular disease processes so that patients quickly benefit from high-tech medicine. For this purpose, you will work in the research group CIOBio by Dr. Josch Konstantin Pauling. This researches highly innovative computer-assisted methods for precise patient stratification and molecular typing for the development and improvement of individual therapies. In current projects, you will be significantly involved in the design, development and implementation of machine learning and artificial intelligence in clinical diagnostics and biomedical research. This includes the use of classical methods of statistics for the preparation and analysis of raw data of various OMICs fields, as well as the development of innovative methods of machine learning and artificial intelligence for integration and data mining of large, multimodal, clinical data. They will express and deepen their scientific profile in the field of computer-assisted biomedicine and publish research results in recognised international journals. You will also receive lectures at international conferences and take part in teaching formats such as lectures and seminars of the Institute for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine.
