Testing Technician / Testing Engineer Timber Construction & Fastening Technology (m/f/d)

In the field of research & development for fastening solutions in timber construction, we are looking for an addition to the team, which takes over the implementation and evaluation of initial tests in product development and develops resilient, standard-compliant solutions for modern applications. In your role, you perform destructive component tests in the wood construction environment (e.g. load and tensile tests) and accompany the execution of test benches. You plan test series including test matrix, test scenarios, resource and test body planning with different wood and substrate variants. You support laboratory structures and conversions and take over operational activities in the testing process. During the evaluation, you prepare results, interpret them, inter alia, by means of force-path evaluations and ensure the traceability of the documentation. You produce test reports and work with test and product standards (e.g. EAD) in the context of new product/first sample and other quality tests. You identify deviations in the test setup or in the measuring chain and drive improvements forward. In close cooperation, you agree with colleagues from the development, product management, customers as well as external inspection bodies and experts. You support maintenance and maintenance of the test benches in the accredited environment according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. You bring a technical qualification with training, technicians/masters from the field of building materials testing or as mechatronics technicians with or alternatively a study with e.g. focus on civil engineering, materials engineering, timber construction, mechanical engineering - cross-entry are also welcome. You have a well-founded experience in wood construction, testing laboratory or in fastening technology; care, structure and pleasure in practical laboratory work are important. You work safely with Excel; Knowledge of IMC Famos, MATLAB and Python/R are advantageous. You communicate very well in German; Use English well in the technical context. You like to work in an environment where impartiality and confidentiality are important (accredited laboratory according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025). You work mainly directly on site in the testing laboratory and can occasionally use mobile work depending on the task situation and in coordination. Local missions from one to twice a month will give you pleasure.
