The SOS Children's Village Thüringen offers differentiated stationary and outpatient assistance for children, young people and families, a family consultancy office, open and intergenerational offers in a family centre and the women's communication centre.

For our SOS Children's Village in Thuringia we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in permanent employment, full-time (38,5 hours/Where.)

In our mother/father-child group, young parents learn to successfully cope with the many challenges and tasks of family life. Included are minors or full-year mothers and fathers with the need for assistance in the care and education of children and in their own development. The 9 seats are divided into 4 living days. In addition, on the ground floor, the meeting point is available as a place for community activities, courses and transitions. In a dedicated multi-professional team of social pedagogues, you create a reliable everyday life, give orientation and create relationship. You have completed training as an educator or comparable educational qualification. Ideally you bring experience in stationary child and youth assistance or in a comparable educational field. You perceive the individual needs of your representatives and build trusting relationships. Also in challenging situations, you remain patient, reliable and give stability and orientation. You reflect your pedagogical action and continuously develop your work. You work constructively and respectfully in the team and with network partners. You are responsible for the protection of children and occupants and are also professional in difficult situations. You introduce their own ideas, make everyday life varied and support the representatives in their development. Your handling of proximity and distance to the representatives is professional.
