Engineer for Automation Technology and Teaching (m/f/d)

The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) is one of the largest practice-oriented universities in Bavaria and covers a wide range of subjects with the fields of technology, social and economic sciences, design and languages. We accompany around 9,300 students in more than 65 courses on their educational path. Since 2022, THWS has been certified by the audit family-friendly university in order to meet the diversity of life plans and family forms and to actively promote the reconciliation of the profession and family of their employees. The technology transfer centre Bad Kissingen (TTZ-KG) is an institute of THWS, founded in 2023 by the Bavarian State, with the focus on applied research in the field of sustainable digital transformation of laboratory analysis and medical technology. Due to a Europe-wide leading cluster with a high laboratory density, the Bad Kissingen site offers the best conditions for this. The aim is to enable technology transfer and to maintain professionals in the region by closely interconnecting industry and science.

Currently we have the following place to occupy: Technology Transfer Centre Bad Kissingen Engineer for Automation Technology and Teaching (w/m/d) in parttime (50%) Application code: 23.6.759 The place is to be occupied at the next possible time, the place is located in Bad Kissingen. The employment is first terminated until 31.12.2027 and in parttime (20 hours/week). An extension is sought.

Working in research projects on laboratory analysis and laboratory automation Prototype construction (mechanical, electric) Embedded software development for laboratory automation Test setup including selection and integration of devices available on the market Planning and implementation of experimental experiments and analysis and evaluation of the corresponding results Support for the construction and the planned equipment of the TTZ-KG Support for teaching activities (e.g. support for students in laboratory tests) Designing and implementing themed workshops with external customers

successfully completed university studies (e.g. Bachelor or FH Diploma) in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology, computer science, mechatronics or a similar subject, or a comparable relevant qualification relevant professional experience and extensive expertise in automation Programming skills: C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB, and programming languages for programmable controllers (SPS), e.g. ST, LD, FBD extensive experience in the programming of Embeededed software solutions and system tests for different use cases Experience in teaching is desirable, for example in the course of workshops, practical guidance and teaching of students secure, professional communication with external partners and customers very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing, at least at level C1
