We initiate and implement future-oriented technologies, development methods and tools in Zeiss' Group Research. The “Optical Design” group is entitled to be a recognized and reliable development partner in terms of optics design – for all business areas of Zeiss, from lithography optics to microscopy and medical technology. Be part of it and take part in the future of this exciting topic as Team Lead at Zeiss. In close cooperation with a second CRT design group, a cross-country team of optic designers guide you professionally and disciplinaryly.

You motivate and develop your team members and live a development-oriented working atmosphere.

You stand for excellent design results in your group and are driving new methods and working methods in optics design.

You ensure the close cooperation of design teams within the CRT but also with design teams in the business areas in order to meet capacity requirements across business division boundaries as well as possible.

You ensure that required skills, capacities are planned, developed and maintained in your group. You thus ensure that the CRT is a recognized and reliable development partner in terms of optics design for all business areas.

You maintain relationships with internal & external development partners and take care of the expansion of the partner network in the field of optical design.

From the development work in their team, You derive clear requirements roadmaps for in-house design software.

You work together effectively in the leadership team and jointly develop cross-group and strategic topics of the CRT.

You can provide a very good technical, mathematical or scientific degree. Also welcome with a promotion.

You have several years of relevant professional experience in a development or research department in the field of optical design, optical engineering or physical-optical simulation and have demonstrated your expertise in various projects.

You have strong leadership skills and experience in the (lateral) leadership and management of teams.

You can motivate employees, use them correctly, develop them in a targeted way and thus form the group into a powerful team.

You are self-initiative, decision-making, enforceable and team-oriented. Your strong customer orientation and skill in dealing with conflicts are yours.

You have a pronounced communication and social competence, a sovereign occurrence, a high and proactive readiness to perform and a high degree of enforcement.

Very good English and German language skills in word and writing.
