Linux System Administrator (m/f/d)

The staff base is recruited from international, experienced experts, engineers and software developers who have practical expertise and profound scientific and technical competences in the fields of electronics and software development, robotics and the integration of complex IT systems.

Administration and maintenance of servers, operating systems and core infrastructure in on-premises and cloud environments. Management of user accounts, permissions and access controls to ensure safe and efficient processes. Monitor system performance, implement proactive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Monitoring backup, disaster recovery and patch management processes. Configure and maintain network services, firewalls, VPNs and load balancers to ensure secure connectivity. Implementation of Security Best Practices, including System Hardening, Vulnerability Management and Compliance Standards. Increase and automate routine administration tasks using scripts and modern tools. Working with IT, security and cloud teams to support hybrid infrastructures and ensure high availability.

Found experience in the administration of Linux and Windows servers. Knowledge of virtualization technologies and familiarity with cloud platforms. Solid understanding of network bases, including routing, firewalls and VPNs. Practical experience with backup solutions, patch management and system monitoring tools. Ability to implement secure configurations and apply principles such as lease privileges and network segmentation. Confidence with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for administrative tasks. Knowledge of identity and access management, and in group guidelines. Proactive thinking in terms of reliability, safety and continuous improvement. Comfort in handling modern AI tools (e.g. Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT) to increase productivity.
