The Z5 Information Technology Unit with all its services, it ensures that the operation and development of information technology as well as the electronic drug data management in the PEI are implemented in the light of the availability, integrity and confidentiality of all data in the PEI. The Z5 Unit is based on the best practices of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

Ensure the operation and administration of specialized applications, e.g. laboratory information management system (LIMS), chromatography data systems (CDS) and other in-house tools and cutting points Administration, monitoring, maintenance and further development of server-based specialist applications, including updates and troubleshooting Self-responsible design and coordination of system operation Programming and preparation and adaptation of scripts and data banks Planning, monitoring and supervision of intersections Technical implementation of area-specific requirements from regulatory, research and batch testing Support and advice for IT and cross-sector projects Communication with external service providers for troubleshooting and adjustment possibilities Creation and maintenance of documentation

Completion of vocational education and training Bachelor's degree in computer science/informatics or comparable relevant vocational training in the IT sector (including proven long-term professional experience in the IT field) Multiannual general IT experience, especially in the administration of server-based specialist applications and server operating systems (Windows Server, SUSE Linux) Knowledge throughout the life cycle (from planning to troubleshooting) Programming skills in Java, C#, JavaScript and PowerShell Experience with relational data banks (SQL and DDL) as well as system networking, intersections and web services (REST/SOAP) Knowledge in the laboratory area is advantageous Analytical, structured and solution-oriented working methods and self-initiative Extensive team capacity and willingness to integrate into new topics Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing
