The SOS Children's Village Göppingen – Children's and Youth Help is an institution of child and youth assistance with a wide range of integrated services. These include school social work, social-pedagogical counselling and support work according to SGB VIII, social-spatial child and youth work with open and target-group and topic-oriented group offers, kita social work / inclusion and animal-based education.

Together with teachers, parents and network partners, you create a supportive environment in which children and young people can grow. Your tasks include: You advise and accompany pupils, parents and teachers in different school and personal questions and develop jointly value-assuring and constructive solutions. With creativity and commitment, you plan and design class projects as well as open offers such as break games or open meetings, creating spaces for encounter, community and personal development. You work confidently and at eye level with the school management as well as the teachers and contribute to a respectful and supportive relationship in everyday school life. In the social area, you can network with different institutions and advisory bodies to support children, young people and families as best possible and to make appropriate assistance available. With your resource-oriented and empathic stance, you help students successfully overcome challenges and crises, strengthen their self-reality and promote their personal development. The conscientious implementation of child and care protection is a natural and responsible part of your daily work.

You have a completed university degree in social education or social work or a comparable qualification. You enjoy the social education work at the school system and want to accompany and strengthen young people in their personal and social development. You work independently, responsibly and independently.
