Equipment Development Engineer (m/f/d)

At the Cologne site, around 100 employees of our partner develop and produce digital high-end devices such as Panel PC / Thin Client control stations, front installation devices, operator interfaces, IP devices and barcode readers for many years.

We are looking for you, from now on in full time, within a 40 hours / week, in the north of Cologne as a development engineer (m/w/d) for devices.

Your future team consists of 3 colleagues (m/w/d) specializing in mechanical design. You will work closely with hardware, production and certification.

Construction of mechanical housings and mechanical parts for equipment (Human Machine Interface) in Solid Works Development of components according to the drafted specifications and according to the development sequence specified in the development manual Preparation of technical drawings, documentation, test instructions, work instructions with German and English language incl. Installation in SAP Preparation of technical drawings for certification Structure of patterns and performance of measurements and tests and necessary documentation

Technical training in mechanical engineering e.g. technical designer with further training as technician/master (m/w/d) or completed mechanical engineering studies Professional experience as designer, CAD designer, construction engineer, development engineer or equivalent. Detectional experience in equipment (electronic devices, medical devices, household appliances, kitchen appliances or equivalent) Very good design and development knowledge, well-founded material knowledge in the field of metal and (plastic) and well-founded knowledge of different manufacturing processes, e.g. milling, turning, sheet metal processing. Knowledge of aluminium casting and plastic spigot casting should be available Embossed knowledge in the CAD applications Solid Works as well as and basic SAP skills for use Very good German (C1) - and English (B2) in word and writing as well as an occasional readiness to travel round your profile
