Telecommunications Planning Engineer Passive Infrastructure (m/w/d)

We are looking for the Office for Digitization, Organization and IT (DO.IT) of the Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart. The place shall be occupied without delay. The “Data Network passive” team in the field of data networks and telecommunications plans and implements the passive network infrastructure of the state capital Stuttgart. We accompany projects from demand determination to implementation – always with a view to technical quality, cost-effectiveness and sustainability. We work closely with internal departments and external service providers. Our work is based on modern technologies and recognized standards such as DIN EN 50173/50174. In this way, we ensure reliable and powerful IT networking for offices and businesses.

You are responsible for planning and designing the passive building infrastructures of the state capital Stuttgart to HOAI Your tasks include identifying the needs of the various offices/owners and implementing feasibility analysis you are also responsible for the award to service providers according to Framework contracts and the handling of orders based on the planning policy of the city of Stuttgart the documentation of the infrastructure is also one of your tasks You actively participate in the cross-border project work and bring your expertise into interdisciplinary project teams A change or addition of the task area is reserved.

a completed university degree in the IT field or a comparable technical degree course with multiannual relevant professional experience It is also possible to apply to persons with a completed IT training and three years of relevant professional experience, who have equivalent skills and experience in order to carry out the corresponding activities due to their previous professional activity. Experience in the planning and operation of passive network infrastructures according to DIN 50173/50174 well-founded knowledge of current technologies in the field of passive network infrastructures, in particular structured building cabling (copper and glass fiber technology), patch panels, maneuver distributors, track and cable management as well as their planning and implementation according to DIN EN 50173/50174 knowledge of German in word and writing (language certificate B2)
