Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and PKI Expert (m/w/d)

The Trust Center Services department is part of the IT Security Center (CCITS CSS PKI). The department has the responsibility for the complete provision, control, monitoring and further development of the associated services and advises projects and projects when using certificates and chip cards for different application scenarios (SSO, access, time recording, etc.). The TrustCenter Services department is responsible for CA systems and card production infrastructure, as well as chip card systems and the Competence Center PKI.

Migration of existing PKI systems to quantum-proof technologies taking into account hybrid approaches

Implementation of Proof of Concepts and Proof of Technologies

Analysis and implementation of existing quantum-proof algorithms as part of the Proof of Concepts and Proof of Technologies

Creation of technical documentation and best practices for the implementation and use of PQC in PKI systems

Communication with PKI-using procedures and projects

Participation in market analyses and feasibility studies

Presentation of results and intermediates in the department and projects

Complete study of (economic) informatics, mathematics, IT security or a comparable qualification and at least. 3 years of experience in cryptography

Knowledge of Public Key cryptography (PKI, X.509, digital signatures, etc.)

Experience with post-quantant cryptography

Technical understanding of algorithms in the field of post-quantant cryptography

Practical experience with crypto libraries such as OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle, liboqs or comparable frameworks

Recommended: knowledge in programming languages such as C, C++, Java or Python

Experience with security protocols (e.g. TLS 1.3, SSH, IPSec) and their adaptation for PQC

Safe appearance and high self-motivation

Communicative skills, presentations and explanations of technical problems in the company and customers

German and good knowledge of English in word and writing
