As an industry association of the German shoe and leather goods industry, the Bundesverband der Schuh- und Lederwarenindustrie e.V. (HDS/L), represents the interests of 130 member companies with a total of 20,000 employees. In the HDS/L, manufacturers of fashionable women's, men's and infancy shoes as well as functional shoes such as comfort, safety (PSA) and sports shoes, as well as handbags, small leather goods and luggage are organized. They analyze and accompany legal policy projects with relevance for the shoe and leather goods industry and develop sound recommendations for action. They represent the interests of our industry vis-à-vis policy-makers (Ministries, Parties, Authorities, EU Institutions) and associations and industry-related initiatives. They advise the management, bodies, departments, subsidiaries and partners in the HDS/L association network on all legal issues – in particular in the field of business law (including auditing and compliance). They design and organize independently events such as conferences, workshops and committee meetings.

First legal state examination or a comparable legal conclusion Extensive understanding of the political implications of legal issues and economic thinking Joy in the moderation of political processes and active participation of opinion-forming processes in bodies High level of initiative, persuasiveness and diplomatic skills Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Professional experience in an association, a chamber or a similar representation of interests is of advantage, but no condition Standing for occasional missions
