As part of the Carl Zeiss AG project purchasing team, you will help shape the success of all ZEISS business units, act across locations and are involved in the implementation of optimization projects.

Your duties Purchasing complex assemblies from mechanical, optical and electronic parts as well as demanding individual parts according to defined quality and technology requirements

Contact persons for all areas of supply chain management with the aim of maintaining costs, delivery times and delivery quality by suppliers

Responsibility for project-related sourcing strategies on material groups and their implementation

Analysis of procurement markets and innovations and derivation of procurement strategies

Introduction of supplier innovations in the product development process and cooperation with R&D in the specification clarification

Performance of value flow analyses, value engineering and target costing to determine the value-added depth and product target costs

Managing price negotiations and negotiating framework agreements and logistics agreements with high purchasing volumes

Participation in the development and implementation of standardized and efficient processes, key figures and IT tools for strategic supply chain management

Successfully completed economic, scientific or engineering studies or comparable qualifications

Founded professional experience in the international and strategic supply chain management environment

Knowledge in international contracting, intercultural understanding and strong technical competence and strong negotiation skills

Persuasion and enforcement strength, team capacity and experience in the management of complex supply chains and international supplier relationships

Embossed cooperation and coordination capabilities as well as analytical and structured procedures

Knowledge and safe handling of IT structures, office applications and SAP MM

English knowledge in word and writing as well as international readiness
