Through inter- and transdisciplinary research, the KRE 1 “Transformation” unit supports the regions affected by the coal exit in the design of a climate-friendly transformation process towards sustainable regions with modern economic structures and sustainable spatial and environmental qualities that strengthen social cohesion.
