The GCSP/TPS department with around 100 employees represents the mobile task force for challenging tasks in the worldwide technical service of the Mercedes-Benz sales network. Due to its versatile interfaces to various divisions of the company, it offers the opportunity to get to know the after-sales business. The portfolio of the four teams includes all product- and workshop-relevant topics such as introduction to new technologies, market launch activities and technical support for special vehicles and exclusive products. The workshop service experts (so-called Flying Doctors) complete multi-week technical operations in Germany and abroad. A part of the Team Service Locations & Business Management bundles all cross-sectional topics of the department. One of the main topics is IT support for our department, focusing on Germany-wide locations and on-site competence workshop. In order to support our team, we are looking for a dedicated student (m/w/d) who actively supports us. These challenges include: Care, extension and creation of Office files: VBA programming: Share data so that You can be inserted into the correct columns, up to ''Order an Excel file, place it and add the filled content in the database.' Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables: From ''Create the values together or show the number of values' to ''Check whether all recorded values match the specified number or not.'

Use of Team Channels and SharePoint: The aim is to automate everything possible. We want to separate from emails and use team channels for communication. This results in the possibility of expanding our files and systems in such a way that the right message can be made, either completely automatically via bots or with the support of the user.

PowerShell scripts: For the processing of our topics, we have recently also been using the possibility of connection to systems via APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). In this way, the service locations check the vehicles on site several times a day for open customer service measures in order to be able to initiate the control of the vehicles in order to process them in the workshop.

Support for the IT support of the department: takeover and control of IT topics, answering help requests from colleagues or forwarding the request to the expert with the inclusion of the solution path into the manual. Care and extension of the manual, execution of orders, installation and maintenance of hardware and software, working up new topics from IT meetings and accompanying the rollout in the department.

Help with inquiries from the service locations: transport of special tools or parts for testing by the developer, hardware delivery to the service locations, help with IT directly on site if necessary.

Support for RAPID or Autoline topics: With the help and support of RAPID support, take over routine tasks with increased rework effort due to malfunctions, support in setting up and assigning new colleagues rights, maintenance and extension of systems and files.

The activity can start from March/April 2026.
