The responsibility of a DevOps Engineer covers the entire life cycle of cloud-based digital products. You offer first-class support for business applications with different levels of criticism (from low to very high) and make sure that they are operated smoothly, compliant, reliable and safe. As a DevOps Engineer, you will join our DevOps team and use your outstanding technical cloud and communication capabilities to build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• You are responsible for the integrated, consistent, reliable and cost-efficient provision of IT services to meet customer and company expectations and agreements.

• You work with Uniper's internal and external IT suppliers in the lifecycle management process to ensure the stability of the associated IT applications and infrastructures.

• You are in direct contact with the Uniper business to understand business requirements and to ensure a strong relationship with stakeholders.

• You have the ability to understand the impact of changes both from a technical and business perspective.

• You develop and maintain automation platforms, including monitoring and alerting.

• You coordinate solution delivery within agile sprints and over the entire life cycle.

• You work with other areas of digitalization and automation.

• You ensure the quality of the delivery, prepare tests and perform them, including UAT support and operational capability.

• IT consultants with technical and functional skills as well as professional experience in a similar role.

• Advanced analytical skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (IaaS/PaaS), CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Azure DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience with container virtualization, especially with the operation of containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with agile delivery processes (Scrum, Kanban etc.) is of advantage.

• Script skills in Python and/or BASH for the automation of daily tasks would also be advantageous.

Personal characteristics:

• Very strong conceptual and analytical skills.
• Collaborative attitude and ability to communicate with different stakeholders.
• Very good interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills in German and English (guide of meetings, moderation of workshops, preparation and dissemination of results).
• Ability to work well in and with teams of different nationalities and cultures at different locations.
