We are looking for you as Manager Customs & Trade Compliance (m/w/d).

In this responsible position, you are the central contact person for all customs and compliance matters in international trade. You make sure that our import and export processes are legally safe, efficient and comprehensible across all relevant countries – from the USA to Albania. Not only do you operate in an operational manner, but you advise specialist areas and management strategically, train colleagues in dealing with foreign trade issues and keep regulatory changes at an early stage before You become a risk.

Your tasks

Customs and foreign trade processing: You ensure the legally compliant import and export processing, you are responsible for the complete declaration of customs and ensure that deadlines, documentation and regulations are complied with at any time. Compliance advice: You advise specialist areas competently in compliance questions, in close coordination with our legal team, and help identify risks at an early stage instead of correcting them in the aftertaste. Coordination of international consultants: You tax external consultants on specific, country-dependent issues in global trade – from the selection of suitable contact persons to the quality assurance of their recommendations. Knowledge Transfer: You are training and advising colleagues in dealing with foreign trade issues and regular trade in goods, so that compliance is anchored not only to you but throughout the company. Processes & systems: You document existing processes, identify optimization potential and actively contribute to the introduction and further development of customs software (e.g. Atlas, AEB). Monitoring of regulatory changes: You follow developments in international customs and foreign trade law and make necessary adjustments to our processes at an early stage.

Commercial training with further education or a commercial study At least 10 years of experience in international trade, of which at least 5 years in import and export processing Current developments in customs and compliance Experience in process documentation, training and consulting – you can easily prepare complex facts for non-experts Experience in the introduction of customs software (e.g. Atlas, AEB) A structured, independent operation and a secure sense of regulatory risks Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing, other languages of advantage
