As a software engineer or data scientist AI (d/m/w/x), you enrich our interdisciplinary team in the field of Artificial Intelligence and bring End2End AI solutions directly into practical use. Your focus is on the independent conception and implementation of cloud solutions, in particular in the context of machine learning, deep learning and generic AI. Your role includes the coordination of needs with relevant stakeholders as well as the design and implementation of infrastructures and solutions, always ensuring the high quality and reliability standards of Mercedes-Benz AG. You participate in projects that cover a wide range of aspects of Mercedes-Benz AG's value chain – from internal information management to customer data management to the optimization of workshop processes. A special topical focus is on the accelerated integration of new AI developments into all areas of Mercedes-Benz AG, for example with the help of multi-agent systems. You work with various new technologies and methods of AI and cloud-native software development, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace, LangGraph, and develop in Python as well as JavaScript on Azure, AWS and GCP. When designing, developing and implementing forward-looking solutions, you actively participate and can complement your tasks with requirements, product or project management.

How do you fit into our team? With a completed master's degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable training, you set a solid foundation, requiring at least three to five years of practical work experience in the AI environment. Your enthusiasm is the transfer of reliable AI into relevant applications, for which you bring outstanding programming knowledge in Java, Python and SQL and knowledge in JavaScript and Frontend (React) are a plus. You bring a strong understanding of DevOps and MLOps processes and technologies with and ideally also advanced knowledge in machine learning, NLP, semantic knowledge representation and deep learning. Your interests in cloud-native development include Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP and your knowledge with Kubernetes (also AKS) and Azure Databricks is particularly valuable. In addition, you actively follow the latest developments in deep learning, the application of foundation models and generic AI (including Prompt/Context Engineering and Model-Context Protocol) and place particular emphasis on safety, reliability and scalability. With your strong team skills, you actively contribute, promote mutual exchange and learning and communicate fluently in German and English, both in word and in writing.
