Product Developer and Application Engineer Bakery Products - limited to 2 years (m/f/d)

You conduct R&D projects independently in the categories of bread, rolls and fine bakery – from the first idea to the successful implementation. You are significantly involved in new product developments and optimizations and develop strategies for the exchange of raw materials. You plan and carry out baking tests independently and analyze the performance of functional ingredients such as gluten, emulsifiers, enzymes or hydrocoloides. You present product developments at customer appointments, including baking patterns, and work together with other specialist departments on new raw material formulations. You work closely with sales, product management and quality assurance to successfully market innovative products. With your technical know-how, you can also support customer operations on site. You are a reliable support in the team – both in operational issues and in internal cooperation.

You have a handcrafted training as a baker or confectioner and brings with you a strong practical experience in baking. Alternatively, you have a degree in food technology or a comparable discipline – but your hand-on expertise in the back area is crucial. You have a well-founded knowledge of the evaluation of pasta and baked goods as well as the handling of functional raw materials. You think analytically and can apply this thinking in practice – especially when planning and carrying out logically constructed baking tests, in order to understand and evaluate the action of functional ingredients. Structure, organization, and a good sense of priorities are what distinguishes you – you pack topics proactively and always keep the big picture in mind. You work structured, solution-oriented and bring a high degree of organizational talent. You have a strong IT affinity and are routined in handling ERP systems and MS Office, especially Excel. You like to travel and present our products with enthusiasm at customer meetings. You communicate safely and professionally in German and English – both oral and written.
