Compliance & Security Engineer Public Cloud (m/f/d)

Tasks with perspectives As part of the public cloud team, you implement regulatory and security-relevant requirements in technical solutions for our public cloud platforms. You translate compliance, information security and risk management requirements into automated cloud controls and support their continuous development. You develop and maintain policy-as-code approaches as well as technical governance mechanisms for Azure and Google Cloud Platform. You implement and operate infrastructure and security deployments with Terraform as well as CI/CD-based deployment processes. You work closely with security and compliance units and support the implementation of regulatory requirements in the cloud platforms. You analyse security requirements and standards (e.g. DORA, CIS benchmarks, security measures catalogs) and translate them into technical platform policies and cloud abstracts. You support platform and specialist teams in the safe and regulatory use of public cloud services.

Personality with profile You have a completed study of computer science as well as many years of relevant professional experience in the cloud or infrastructure environment or a comparable qualification as well as experience in managing cross-disciplinary (partial) projects. You bring practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially when dealing with Terraform. You have experience with Git-based development and deployment processes as well as CI/CD pipelines. You have knowledge of cloud security and cloud governance, ideally with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform. You understand regulatory and safety-relevant requirements and can translate them into technical solutions and automated controls. You have knowledge of German (at least C1 level) and good knowledge of English (B2 level) in the technical environment. You work in a structured, self-responsible manner, bringing pleasure in working with technical teams as well as security and compliance experts.
