Head of Operational Excellence (m/f/d)

As Head of Operational Excellence (m/w/d) DACH, you are driving our operational agenda. You link data directly with measurable successes in profit and loss accounting (P&L) and actively shape the efficiency of our locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Personnel planning & use (75% time) You monitor personnel planning in cooperation with Operations, HR and Workforce Management (WFM), use WFM tools to identify efficiency potentials and support managers with pragmatic action plans. Revenue & Transaction Enhancement: You track and coordinate initiatives to increase like-for-love revenues as well as cart sizes, identify sales losses and support targeted sales operations at peak times to maximize throughput. Performance Management & KPI Control: You define and maintain the DACH OPEX KPI system (conversion, productivity, personnel costs, maintenance, etc.), establish weekly and monthly performance routines with operations and finance and create transparent overall overviews by location, brand and country. Maintenance (R&M) & location overheads: You monitor the maintenance budget and other operating costs, cover misbooking or avoidable cost-eaters and work closely with operations, technical service and finance to question the supplier performance and expenses. Loss Prevention: You optimize the measures against inventory differences as well as breakage and spoilage, ensure safe cash handling and cancellation processes, cover control guards and initiate countermeasures. Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis: You analyze performance problems (using data, workshops and on-site visits), prepare decision templates for the DACH Executive Team and translate complex operational and financial data into clear recommendations. You run OPEX change programs and build business cases for investment.

At least 7–10 years of relevant experience in a dynamic multi-site environment - whether in system gastronomy, retail or service-oriented branch structures - ideally combined with Operational Excellence, Cost Controlling with P&L Influence, Commercial Analytics or Operational Leadership with focus on personnel deployment and change management. A deep understanding of P&L drivers at site level (conversion, average Bon, personnel costs, maintenance and maintenance costs etc.) and the ability to link operational levers to financial results. Experience in cooperation with large operational teams as well as in complex multi-brand and multi-channel environments. Communication strength, enforcement and empathy to convince stakeholders, management and external partners. A structured project management discipline to implement analyses into practice. Funded knowledge in HR processes and (DACH region). Safe handling of WFM systems, BI/reporting tools, POS systems and financial dashboards. Ideally, experience in monitoring cross-country and brand change programs and a sense of inventory control and theft prevention (shrinkage). Current language skills in German and English.
