Technician/Engineer as Production Coordinator in Shipbuilding (m/f/d)

At the shipyard, you will ensure that real progress is made from planning: you coordinate production, assembly and construction processes and bring the different work steps into an efficient sequence. Dates, costs and quality will lead you to ongoing production. In doing so, you control the associated working volumes in a predictive manner and set the right priorities for a planned construction progress. Design, work preparation, manufacturing and participating plants work closely together thanks to their coordination. Suppliers and external service providers also bind you specifically into the processes and clarify technical and organizational interfaces. If there are deviations or disturbances in the construction process, analyse the effects, correct the necessary measures with the specialist areas and bring the production back on course quickly. From testing to system transfer, you will organize important milestones in the manufacturing process, accompany acceptances and coordinate cooperation with customers and classification societies as required. Proceedings and open points document transparently and prepare the current project status to be addressed. At the same time, make sure that quality, work and safety requirements are consistently taken into account in the daily production process.

Their technical basis is a further development to the technician (m/w/d) of shipbuilding or machine engineering, or a study with a focus on shipbuilding and marine engineering, maritime technology, mechanical engineering, production or production engineering. Multiannual practical experience in shipbuilding or comparable project-oriented production has given you a good sense of how complex assembly and construction processes are organized and successfully combined.
