In the team of the Export Control Group, we support both the ZEISS Group Mother and the strategic ZEISS Business Units in issues relating to external economic law with a focus on German, European and US legislation. In view of the current geopolitical conflicts, which are also manifested in export control regulations, we offer an exciting, diverse and varied environment with the aim of safely navigating ZEISS through these unrestrained and dynamic driving water.

Your role Determination of the globally applicable external trade regulations

conceptual development for the organizational and process implementation as well as strategic development of the globally applicable foreign trade processes at the business unit (SBU) assigned to you from “end-to-end” perspective, with the aim of controlling the risks arising from national and international legislation, in particular with regard to geopolitical trade conflicts.

Participation in the monitoring of the Internal Compliance Programme of the Group companies adopted by the Management Board and the Export Officer, with the aim of avoiding the criminality of the responsible members of the Management Board and financial damage to ZEISS companies.

(partial) project management and coordination with regard to projects and new business models and services, in particular implementation of measures for organisational and process testing processes to ensure foreign trade compliance for the associated ZEISS SBUs from a global perspective.

Participation in strategic concept development with regard to the impact of export control and trade restrictions on the SBU strategy (including supply chain, sales & production)

Partial project management or participation in projects with a legal impact (e.g. M&A, IT rollout etc.).

Control of approval procedures for the assigned ZEISS business unit(s).

Implementation of the Foreign Trade training program at global level.

Creation and revision of policies and instructions for action for the assigned ZEISS business unit(s).

Monitoring of internal and external audits.

Your profile Graduate degree in the field of BWL or law with the subject of customs law, economic law or engineering

Multiannual (approximately 2-5 years) relevant professional experience in a globally active business enterprise, in the superior service of customs administration or an audit firm

Comprehensive understanding of legislative and regulatory procedures and administrative procedures

First accumulated experience in project management (ideally as part of Foreign Trade projects)

Contacts to the relevant export control authorities

High level of responsibility and loadability

Safe handling in MS-Office and SAP modules (including R/3, S/4)

German and English flowing in word and writing
