Number: MER00047LP At Mercedes-Benz Car's research and development, we design the automotive generations of the future. We are already working on vehicles that will secure the technology leadership of Mercedes-Benz in the future and vehicle safety is an essential brand core value. In the area of passive safety pedestrian protection, we are responsible for the development of the function pedestrian protection. Your future team evaluates design models with regard to pedestrian protection requirements, develops them using CAE simulations and secures the results in hardware testing for the entire field. Our goal is to secure compliance with the laws worldwide, to achieve high rating requirements, and to comply with Mercedes-Benz specific requirements for all cars. We need support from a working student*in for an already defined task package with planning, logistics, testing and documentation in compliance with the schedule. These fields of application include: Processing of technical and organizational tasks in the context of the team

Organisation of development vehicles and their conversion and retrofitting to carry out test series

Spare parts management including procurement of parts and organization of transports

Preparation, monitoring and evaluation of internal and external experiments

The activity can start from October 2026.

Student*in the degree programme Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Technology or a comparable degree programme

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office

Linux/UNIX knowledge desirable

CAE knowledge desirable

Joy in dealing with people, communication skills

Commitment and team skills

Analytical thinking and strategic working

driving licence class B
