(Senior) Engineer Verification and Validation - Cloud Platforms (m/f/d)

Do you have experience at the interface of cloud platforms, Kubernetes and modern quality assurance? Do you think quality not only as a test phase, but as an integrated component of development, CI/CD and operation? Have you already developed systems for stability, performance and scalability in the sense of SRE principles?

We develop software solutions for the Bundeswehr in the area of defence and security – from analysis to design and development to operation and further development. We ensure the quality and reliability of these systems throughout the life cycle.

For our specially developed cloud platform, we are looking for verification and validation support. Their goal is to integrate quality early and continuously into systems instead of checking them only downstream. You work closely with DevOps, platform and development teams and ensure that quality requirements are taken into account from the outset in architecture, development and operation. You used modern approaches such as test automation, CI/CD, monitoring and observability. The role combines classic quality assurance with Cloud Engineering, Security and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and contributes significantly to the stability, performance and scalability of our solutions.

Building and developing quality strategies for cloud-based platforms and applications with high protection requirements Self-conception and implementation of test and validation strategies for distributed and containerized systems Ensuring quality in container, microservices and cloud architectures Development and integration of automated quality gates in CI/CD pipelines Analysis of system behavior in terms of stability, performance, scalability and resilience Close cooperation with security, DevOps, platform and development teams Building Observability, Monitoring and Reliability Practices Responsibility for documentation, demonstration and quality assurance in regulated and safety-critical development environments Establishing and developing best practices in cloud quality engineering

Complete study of computer science, engineering or comparable degree Multiannual experience in the environment of cloud platforms and containerized applications as well as sound knowledge in at least one cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) Knowledge of Kubernetes and Container Technologies (e.g. Docker) Practice in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps Processes Experience in Testing, Quality Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Understanding distributed systems, APIs and microservices architectures Ideal experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Cypress, Selenium or similar Very good knowledge of German and English
