Since 01.01.2021, the Federal Highway GmbH has been responsible as the operator of one of the largest and most diverse infrastructures for around 13,000 motorway kilometers.

Head of Department (w/m/d)

Your tasks include:

• Management, control and coordination of tasks, objectives and processes of the Department of Basic Education, Environmental Planning
• Defining and implementing the tasks relating to land acquisition, property management, nature, soil, and water protection, as well as the environmental and waste law requirements of the branch in accordance with the tasks of the Planning business unit
• Monitoring budget and resources requirements
• Continuous review of the target achievement of the department as well as initiation and control of the implementation of corrective measures in cases of failure
• Control, conceptual implementation and processing of basic matters and technical or technical questions for the entire branch in all themes of the basic acquisition and the real estate administration, in particular compensation, expropriation and property assessment, as well as industrial cleaning and in matters of contract design
• Regular meetings, coordination and interdisciplinary cooperation with other departments and business units as well as branch offices, with the headquarters and other organizational units of the Autobahn GmbH

That you should bring:

• Successfully completed academic studies with the field of national care, environmental management, landscape ecology/nature protection, civil engineering, administrative management, law and comparable knowledge and experience
• Multiannual relevant professional experience
• comprehensive, well-founded and as practical as possible proven professional or legal knowledge in the field of environmental and landscape planning or basic acquisition including the relevant planning, road, environmental, waste, land, species protection and administrative law and relevant standards and regulations
• Ability to process solutions of particularly complex situations and to evaluate or evaluate Assessment (technical) legal aspects
• secure control of relevant computer applications, in particular MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge in handling GIS programs
• strong cost awareness and sense of economic solutions
• German language skills in word and writing
• Class B driving licence

Remuneration is carried out according to the above-mentioned remuneration group according to the tariff classification rules of the TV-Autobahn. The recognition of the level of remuneration is determined according to the individual working experience.
