The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) is one of the largest practice-oriented universities in Bavaria and covers a wide range of subjects with the fields of technology, social and economic sciences, design and languages. The technology transfer centre Electromobility (TTZ-EMO) is our largest research institute. It has existed since 2012 and has its seat as a branch in Bad Neustadt an der Saale. In our TTZ, a scientific team of about 40 employees works on industrial and public education and research projects. We work closely with technology and world market leaders, which makes us a little proud. In addition, we also take the time and the freedom to implement our own research ideas – without any deadline. Currently we have the following place to occupy: Electromobility technology transfer centre Technical assistant with IT tasks (w/m/d) in parttime (50%) Application code: 13.3.787 The place is to be occupied at the next possible time, the place is located in Bad Neustadt at the Saale. In the context of a representation, employment is first terminated until 31.12.2027 and in part-time (20 hours/week). An extension is possible in principle.

Optimization of structures and processes In your role in the TTZ-EMO, your focus is on the continuous improvement of our internal processes. You develop new structures and processes through observation and initiative to ensure more efficient workflows and improved safety. You identify early misdevelopments and potential for improvement and develop solutions to increase efficiency, especially in the areas of purchasing, document management and technical processes. Efficient IT infrastructure management As part of our TTZ team, you are responsible for the comprehensive management and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. Your tasks include the installation, configuration and regular maintenance of workstation computers and servers, ensuring the reliability of emergency power supply. You support our end users through training and consulting, perform regular software updates and are responsible for license management and compliance with institutional standards. In addition, you are entrusted with the need determination and installation of state-of-the-art hardware and ensure operational readiness through functional testing and documentation. Project and infrastructure development In this position, you are involved in the planning and implementation of construction measures in Bad Neustadt, including the development of office, laboratory and workshop areas as well as new test areas. You coordinate closely with the county, the vocational school and the fire department and accompany construction activities into the TTZ infrastructure from planning to acceptance. Their tasks include the planning and control of the power and data supply for all construction and maintenance work. You are responsible for the technical and safety implementation of projects at the TTZ-EMO, manage large-scale equipment funding and monitor dates and budgets. You are also responsible for purchasing technical equipment and materials, making decisions regarding quality, longevity and budget compliance for a team of about 50 employees. Safety and fire protection In your task, you are also responsible for the comprehensive planning, implementation and monitoring of all hazard analyses, especially where there are high risks for body and life. You identify potential sources of danger, in particular in the field of electricity, voltage and fire risks, and develop sustainable solutions for risk mitigation. You organise both external and internal missions to review safety standards and prepare safety technical meetings. In addition, you will develop secure and practical solutions for scientific and technical challenges where dangers are not always obvious, such as e.g. correct handling and storage of dangerous battery systems. You also coordinate technical decisions that need to be made spontaneously to ensure the safety of persons, buildings and devices.
