Do you love the challenge of acting in a complex environment and implementing industrial solutions in a novel environment? You like to work in cross-functional teams, optimize processes and design projects? The Zeiss Microoptics unit specializes in the development, optimization and replication of applications based on micro-optical and holographic-optical elements. In your role as an application engineer with a focus on hardware development, you are responsible for the development and implementation of hardware solutions in the fields of measurement, control and control technology, automation technology and drive technology. Your duties include: They develop and implement the hardware solutions for automation systems to support HOE replication, in particular programming and adaptation of Beckhoff controllers, including the programming languages TwinCAT and IEC 61131

They perform the e-planning including schematic design and system design using E-Plan.

They are responsible for and supervise the complex HOE replication systems with regard to the overall process development and manufacturing processes in the industrial environment, as well as advise and train the end users, in particular with regard to the operation and maintenance of HOE replication systems.

They carry out the tests and quality assurance measures to ensure the quality of the software and the efficiency of the replication processes.

You work with the interdisciplinary teams to develop tailor-made hardware solutions that meet the specific requirements of our customers in the field of replication.

They analyze the requirements of our customers and translate them into technical specifications for HOE replication solutions.

They have a university degree in engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology or a related field or have comparable practical experiences.

They have very good knowledge of hardware development in the fields of measurement, control and control technology, automation technology and drive technology, as well as relevant experience in e-planning, including schematic design and system design, with E-Plan.

You can benefit from your well-founded programming knowledge, especially for Beckhoff controllers, as well as from your experience in the TwinCAT, IEC 61131 programming languages.

They bring relevant practical experience in commissioning machines and troubleshooting.
