The Information and Technology Services department manages and organises all DKMS IT services worldwide. To enable as many people as possible a second chance of life, digitization is of central importance and IT is the key to success. The Infrastructure Management team is responsible for the IT infrastructure for all DKMS locations. These include the operation and support of the data center, databases, the Kubernetes platform and the global network. This provides a modern and reliable platform for all DKMS applications. For the support of our team at Tübingen, Cologne or Dresden, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) focus on operations.

Administration and further development of the On-Premises-Kubernetes platform Support and further development of the automation processes for the DKMS infrastructure in the sense of an IaC approach Support in the Administration of Linux Infrastructure Advising and supporting colleagues in handling container technologies and the possibilities of automation Ordering and controlling service providers in 3rd level support Ticket processing, support of the infrastructure team and participation in readiness

Complete study of computer science or comparable training (e.g. specialist:in application development) Very good knowledge and experience in the areas of Kubernetes, Rancher, Argo, Bitbucket/Bamboo and the like Embossed knowledge and experience with infrastructure automation with e.g. terraform or ansible Good knowledge of Linux administration Confidence with network and security concepts Knowledge with VMware, Entra ID and other infrastructure components is advantageous Ready to carry out maintenance, if necessary, outside the regular working hours and on weekends Embossed hands-on mentality, sense of responsibility and communication strength – combined with very good team and organizational ability Strong customer orientation and expert lay communication as well as safe German and English knowledge in word and writing
