You take on the strategic leadership and further development of the team and drive the department's data and AI architecture – including the definition of target images, standards and roadmaps for data integration, data management and AI applications. The development and further development of data-driven decision-making bases for energy trading, including the development, implementation and use of advanced analytics, predictive models, and back-testing capabilities for the assessment and optimization of trading strategies, is one of your tasks. In addition, you control the team for data engineering, platform and AI projects and ensure that the operation of the platforms remains efficient and scalable. In addition, you provide quality, stability, security and compliance across the entire data and AI infrastructure – including monitoring, incident and change management as well as MLOps governance. In close cooperation with other disciplines, you identify data-driven applications and accompany their implementation in scalable solutions – from data acquisition to the productive operation of the models. Promoting innovation, knowledge transfer and engineering excellence in Data & AI, including team coaching, introducing modern technologies and methods is also part of your task.

You bring a successfully completed master's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science or a comparable qualification. You have many years of experience in the field of automated trading (energy or financial markets) as well as sound expertise in the development, implementation and operational operation of data-driven trading strategies. You have several years of experience in managing data engineering or AI teams – ideally in the energy or IT environment – and have sound know-how in building and operating modern data platforms, cloud technologies and MLOps processes. In addition, you are characterized by a high self-initiative, a joy of innovation and a pronounced analytical and strategic mindset. A communication and leadership skills as well as your enthusiasm for data-driven business models and modern AI technologies complete your profile.
