The Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) is a federal scientific and technical authority based in Berlin. Preparation of test specimens and preparation of building material samples in the laboratory and, where appropriate, on the site (including cement stone, concrete, clay products, asphalt, organic sealing materials) and removal and documentation of samples from damaged structures Preparation of building material samples according to individual material and experimental requirements Support in the development and construction of measuring arrangements performing performance and durability tests (e.g. frost and frost dew point resistance of concrete, water resistance of clay building materials, wear resistance of textured surfaces) including Test documentation Testing of mineral building materials for the determination of mechanical properties (e.g. of compression, bending tensile and adhesive strengths) Support for micro- and macroscopic microscopy analyses (microscopy and ultrasound measurements) and moisture measurements Self-selected selection and procurement of laboratory consumables and support in the procurement of small and large devices Support for work protection and quality assurance, maintenance and maintenance of equipment

Completed design as construction material tester, material tester or the like Multiannual professional experience after training in the relevant field Experience required in the production, preparation and testing of mineral building materials; desirable in the use of organic building materials (e.g. asphalt) Knowledge required in electronic data processing Physical suitability required for handling heavy test specimens, installation of test specimens and for construction site inserts Self-employed and team-oriented work driving licence class B Team skills and cooperation targeted and structured working methods Initiative / commitment readiness and reliability
