Head of Financial Accounting (m/w/d)

Our client is a traditional, medium-sized company that is embedded in a German group of companies around the fields of production, logistics and service. At two sites, raw materials are produced, which are further processed in energy-intensive industries. As a reliable partner and service provider, our client is well established in its market and has a wide range of production and services with its versatile portfolio. We are looking for a dedicated head of financial accounting (m/w/d) for our client at the headquarters in Central Germany at the next possible time.

In this position, you take over the creation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts according to HGB and contribute significantly to the preparation and development of the consolidated financial statements. They are responsible for liquidity planning and management to ensure optimal financial stability and efficiency. In addition, you create sound analyses and statistics that serve as the basis for strategic decisions of the management. They work on various special projects, for example in the implementation of new systems or tax optimizations. As a contact person for auditors, banks, authorities and tax advisors, you coordinate all audit and coordination processes and ensure that external requests are professionally processed. In your leadership role, you guide a team of 5 employees, promote their development and ensure an effective distribution of tasks as well as a positive working environment. Your contribution is crucial for the further development and optimization of the financial and accounting processes in the company.

For this position, you will ideally bring a successfully completed business studies or a degree as an accounting officer. Your well-founded professional experience in the field of accounting and your final knowledge according to HGB will make you a competent contact person for the management and preparation of financial statements and reports. Ideally, you have experience in manufacturing and bring a deep understanding of industry-specific requirements. The secure handling of DATEV and well-founded knowledge in the MS Office package as well as good English skills complete your profile.
