The Innovation & Future Technologies research area at Mercedes-Benz AG is one of the pioneers of the automotive industry and the pioneers for pioneering technologies. With us, you are part of the Tech Programs & Future Concepts team and can help design the future technologies of Mercedes-Benz on the side of experienced engineers and engineers. Test vehicles, laboratory surfaces, workshops and various plants are available for this purpose. These include machines and testing technology from the field of robotics, cutting-edge manufacturing and plastics processing. Planning, monitoring and coordination of individual projects from idea to prototypical implementation and support for customer studies are part of your tasks. These challenges await you: Researching new trends and technologies Development and evaluation of concepts of mechatronic structures for the presentation of kinematized interior components Control technical integration of the individual components in the vehicle interior Planning and organisation of the production and construction of functional prototypes with internal and external partners Accompanying the construction, commissioning activities of new interior components Support in the planning and implementation of customer studies Creation of documentation and time and project plans Preparation of project content and results for internal presentations The focus of the internship is on the current project topics of the department and can be adapted to the individual interest. In addition to the practical activities, you will gain an insight into the interdisciplinary functioning of the automotive development areas.

Engineering studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, vehicle engineering, aerospace technology or a comparable degree programme Basic electrical engineering desirable Programming skills desirable (e.g. Python, C, C++) CAD knowledge desirable (preferably Siemens NX) Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic working Fun on creative working, self-employment, good understanding craftsmanship desirable Driving class B required Additional information: Of course, without formalities, we are not.
